Managing competition crew in spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and a dozen email threads is a mess. We've been there. There's a better way.
The origin
CrewBase was built by Bruno Fornari — a former competition organizer with over 200 competitions and 1,000+ crew members managed. He lived the problem firsthand: coordinating hundreds of staff across events using spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and endless email threads. The system was always one step away from falling apart.
He built CrewBase to solve it — starting with a commitment that core features stay free so every organizer, regardless of budget, can run their events properly. Premium came later to cover infrastructure and development, and to let larger operations scale without limits.
